This week on The Price for Paradise Podcast, I brought back Dr. Jon Porman — Dr. P — for another episode, and this time we finally got him on video. Dr. P is a mind-body holistic chiropractor with a unique approach to healing and performance, and I always enjoy our conversations. He has a way of explaining things that makes you slow down, reflect, and look at health from a wider perspective. In this episode, we catch up on everything he’s been building lately. Dr. P shares updates on the Legendary Healing Foundation, the non-profit he’s launching, and Legendary Life, his online community focused on mind-body practices, education, and connection. We talk about his work with athletes — from Nebraska volleyball and football, to sessions with Cam Skattebo and Jameis Winston, to his recent work with the Washington State football team and a variety of individual cases. He also breaks down his recent opportunities as a speaker, including being the closing speaker for TEDx Tampa/St. Pete, serving as the keynote speaker for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Florida, and beginning his new monthly webinar series, The Monthly Dose with Dr. P. One of the biggest things he has coming up is The Selection, a 48–55 hour endurance event involving more than 80 miles of rucking, tough conditions, and very low completion rates. Dr. P will be taking it on next September at age 62, and he shares why this challenge means so much to him. We also touch on the book he’s currently working on, and the direction he wants to take with his writing. It’s always good having Dr. P back on the podcast. This episode has a lot of great topics — healing, performance, mindset, and stepping into new chapters — and it gives a clear picture of what he’s up to right now.
